Xiaomi has set the trend of reducing the price of its gadgets by a thousand rupees when they are put for sale (as opposed to their launch price.). Keeping no exception, the Redmi Note has been price tagged at Rs. 8,999, by Xiaomi. This information arrives, ahead of its first batch sale on 2 December. Xiaomi also believes in disclosing the number of units, to be released for sale. Hence, as per statements from the brand, the first batch of Redmi Note will offer 50,000 units to be sold from December 2.
Flipkart First subscribers will be offered 5,000 units today. Owing to the contests being run by the brand on social media, 100 customers will be given priority passes everyday. They can directly buy the device on the day of launch and would not need any registration. Xiaomi’s flash sales have a history off getting over in a matter of seconds, so with the Redmi note too, the same is being expected.
The Redmi Note is expected to be seen as a benchmark in the below Rs. 10,000 category. The Note comes with a 5.5 inch 720p display derived from One Glass Solution, together with a 178 degree view angle. The Redmi Note is operated by a 1.7GHz octa-core MT6592 chipset paired with 2GB RAM. The Note contains MiUi version 5 based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. An Android 4.4 KitKat update is expected in future.
The phablet offers a 13MP back camera paired with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. Internal storage is 8GB which is expandable to an impressive 32GB. Connectivity hassles are minimum with 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual SIM and GPS. The gadget is powered by a 3,100 mAh battery. The 4G version operating on 1.6GHz quad core Snapdragon 400, shall be available towards the latter part of December through Airtel stores and online purchase forums.
