HTC’s flagship smartphone, the One M9 was expected to launch earlier this week, but because of some software issues the launch was delayed. However now, the Taiwanese company has confirmed that the new One flagship is launching on Saturday. Through a facebook post, HTC Taiwan confirmed the news that the 32GB variant of the smartphone will be available to purchase in Taiwan from Saturday, while the 64GB variant will be rolling out next week on March 27.
The 32GB variant of HTC One M9 has been given a hefty price tag of TWD 21,900 (approximately Rs. 43,400), while the 64GB variant is priced at TWD 23,900 (approximately Rs. 47,400). Both smartphones will roll out in Taiwan first, and will later move towards other parts of the globe.
At MWC, HTC confirmed that the smartphone will roll out globally in mid-march. But, till now, there hasn’t been any update on global availability of the device. The One M9 smartphone boasts world-class specs including a 5-inch Full HD display, powered with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB RAM.
The device runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box, and sports a 20MP rear, and 4-ultrapixel front-facing camera. It features an all-metal unibody design, and will be available in a number of variants including, dual-tone Silver and Rose Gold, single-tone Gunmetal Grey, single tone Gold, and dual-tone Gold and Pink.
In addition to this, HTC One M9 also packs standard connectivity options including Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GLONASS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and LTE. The device weighs 160 grams, and is backed by a long-lasting battery of 2600mAh.
