The serial tipster Leaksfly posted on Weibo that the new device of OnePlus will be priced at CNY 1, 399 (approximately Rs. 14, 500). But no detail of availability was mentioned. An earlier post states that the smartphone was rumored to cost around $250 (approximately Rs 16, 200).
Android Headlines reported that China has recently certified the smartphone as OnePlus E1001 and device would have Oxygen OS, along with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance.
However, posts from the retrospect claim that the device to have a MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) SoC, 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 5-inch IPS display covered in 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 or 4, 32 GB of eMMC 5.0 storage expandable via microSDXC and a 3,000-3,100 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery.
The handset will also come with a USB Type-C connector with Quick Charge 2.0 capabilities, FM radio, an MT6630 wireless SoC, Bluetooth 4.1, an IR Blaster, a 1.2W front-facing speaker, and an NFC chip that supports Android Pay.
OnePlus posted that an event will be held by the company on October 29 in India along with events in London, Beijing, and Jakarta among others, on its Facebook and Twitter India pages along with the tagline, “See you on October 29, India.” The teaser shows an image of a large ‘X, indicating that the device might be named ‘OnePlus X’.
The company also posted the news on its Chinese website and stated that it would start taking reservations for attendees for the event on October 29, which is scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM.
