Lenovo India has been doing teasers over the weekend and now it has sent invites to launch this smartphone on August 1, 2016.
Lenovo had launched its K4 Note in India earlier this year and it was a huge hit. That device had MediaTek MT6753 along with RAM of 3GB. However, the chipset were not upto the mark and heated up when playing high end mobile games.
The Lenovo K5 Note is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. There are other improvements in K5 Note like an all metal body and fingerprint scanner for phone security. The smartphone also have Dolby Atmos powered speakers which was also there in its predecessor.
The K5 Note has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. It can support a microSD card that can help to expand memory upto 128 GB. The smartphone is a dual-SIM machine and is also 4G enabled. In terms of display it has a rather large screen of 5.5 inches full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display, which was also the feature of Lenovo Vibe K4 Note.
The Lenovo K5 Note has a 13 MP back camera with PDAF autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. The front Camera is pretty strong at an 8-MP. This smartphone has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Other interesting features include digital compass, proximity and ambient light sensors.
It’s a great budget phone but the users in this price range would also look at Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeEco’s Le 2.
