Micromax Canvas Juice 3, Canvas Juice 3+ Launched With Battery Power of 4000mAh

micromax_canvas_juice_3_press_imageMicromax introduced its new smartphone under its flagship called Canvas Juice and Canvas Juice 3+. The latest smartphone Canvas juice 3 comes with a price tag of Rs. 8, 999, and it will be available for sale on retail and online stores.

The company is likely to announce the release the Canvas 3+ by the end of September, and the sale of the handset is also expected by this month.

Both, the Micromax Canvas Juice 3 and Canvas Juice 3+ smartphones share the same innards. Except for display features of the handsets, as Canvas Juice 3 has 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels), and Canvas Juice 3+ comes with a larger 5.5-inch screen with similar resolution. Both the device’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

In terms of Camera, the Canvas Juice 3 sports a 2MP camera, while the Canvas Juice 3+ bears a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Canvas Juice 3 is packed with 8GB inbuilt storage while the Canvas Juice 3+ contains 16GB inbuilt storage. Both the handsets have expandable support through microSD card (up to 32GB).

Maintaining the Canvas Juice-series trend, the Canvas Juice 3 and Canvas Juice 3+ is backed by a large battery – 4000mAh, and the devices are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. An 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash is featured on both the handsets.

Moving on the connectivity features, such as 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options are included in Canvas Juice 3 and Canvas Juice 3+. However, both the handset lacks 4G support- the biggest drawback in the price range and in the current trend.

Sensor features such as an accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor are featured in the devices. The company claims that the Canvas Juice 3 offer a talk time of up to 14 hours and up to 514 hours of standby time. Meanwhile, the Canvas Juice 3+ offer a talk time of up to 12 hours in 2G, up to 8 hours in 3G and up to 500 hours of standby time.

During the launch event, Vineet Taneja, CEO of Micromax, said, “With the introduction of two new smartphones in our Canvas Juice series, we aim to create a perfect value proposition enabling our highly mobile consumers to make the most of these heavy duty marathon batteries for work and entertainment requirements”.
