Micromax and Cyanogen has been partners for a long time and has launched the popular Yu Yureka series but, according to rumours, the partnership is at brink, and here is the clear sign that Micromax’s Yu might be looking at life beyond its software partner. Amazon India has listed Micromax Yu Yureka Plus with Android v4.4.4 and an open sale is available with a price tag of Rs. 8,999. And the listing states that the smartphone is upgradable to Android v5.0.0.
However, the smartphone shares the same remaining specification with Yu Yureka Plus that was launched with Cyanogen OS in July. The handset bears a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display and powered by 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC that is clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB RAM. It also comes with Adreno 405 GPU.
A 13 Megapixel autofocus camera with an LED flash and a 5 Megapixel secondary camera are included in Yu Yureka Plus. The smartphone is backed by a 2500mAh battery and 16GB inbuilt memory with micoSD card support (up to 32GB) are included on the board.
While in terms of connectivity, the dual SIM (GSM+GSM) Yu Yureka Plus includes options such as Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Apart from that, it also includes sensors like accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. The Cat.4 4G LTTE connectivity is also inculcated in the handset.
In retrospect, the devices were available on flash sale which was conducted on Friday at Amazon India. And the sale saw handset that comes in Alabaster White and Moondust colour variants.
