Micromax launches Yu Yureka-Runs On Cyanogen OS 11

Micromax Yu YurekaYu branded Micromax phones have finally seen a launch with the Yu Yureka. The Yu based smartphone runs on Cyanogen OS and comes with a price tag of Rs.8,999. It has been introduced for registrations via Amazon. Shipping of the Yu Yureka is slated to begin from the second week of January.

Early buyers would benefit with a leather back cover of Rs.999, absolutely free. Further the brand is also promoting free replacement and repair at the buyer’s doorsteps. The Yu Yureka (AO5510) device operates on Cyanogen OS 11, the much touted custom build of Cyanogen OS.

Features of the Micromax Yu branded YU Yureka include the dual SIM facility with 3G and 4G Micro SIM slots. It comes with a 5.5inch HD (720x1280pixels) IPS display and 267ppi pixel density along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device also comes with Cat. 4 4G LTE connectivity which provides upto 150Mbps download speeds and 50Mbps upload speeds, together with Band 40 and Band 3 support.

The Yu Yureka operates on a 64-bit 1.5GHz Octa core Snapdragon 615 SoC (MSM8939), paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. The device offers a 13MP Sony Exmor CMOS sensor rear autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture along with flash. A 5MP selfie camera is an absolute delight.

Internal memory is of 16GB with an expandability upto 32GB. A powerful 2500mAh battery powers the YU Yureka, which can provide a talktime of upto 8 hours and a 310 hours standby time together with  6 hours of video playback time and 4 hours of gaming.

The micromax device measures 154.8×7.8×8.8mm. The Cyanogen OS 11 is built based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and the device promises an Android 5.0 Lollipop make.

Cyanogen Inc. co-founders Kurt McMaster and Steve Kondik , said that to modify and change Android ,they thought of furnishing CyanogenMod.
