Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart has put up a page for Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) while Motorola is yet to divulge the handset. It appears to be an early listing, although, the web page doesn’t have any images and revealed fewer specifications of the handset.
According to Flipkart listing, Motorola Moto G (Gen 3) will come in white colour and has 8 GB internal memory. Albeit, it is rumoured that the basic specifications would be 64-bit 1.7GHz Snapdragon 610 processor and RAM to be 2GB along with 5 or 5.2-inch full-HD display, and 4G LTE support.
The flipkart listing says that AP3560AD1K8 to be the Motorola Moto G (Gen 3)’s model number while Moto G (Gen 2)’s model number was XT1068 and first gen’s model number was XT1033.
Rick Osterloh, President of Motorola, in March had said that the company is eager to maintain an annual product cycle. Moto X (Gen 2) was launched last year in September, according to Motorola’s president, the next-generation Moto X and Moto G (Gen 3) is expected to unveil in the same period.
Motorola announced limited period discount earlier this month. The offer was valid on the majority of devices, like the Moto G (Gen 2) 16 GB – Original price was Rs. 12,999- was reduced to Rs. 10,999 and Moto 360 smartwatch is available at a reduced price of Rs. 12,999.
Under the limited discount, the Motorola Moto X (Gen 2) 16GB was available at Rs. 24,999 while the 32GB variant at Rs. 27,999. Now, however, the Moto X (Gen 2) is available at its original launch price.
It is worth noting that both the first-gen and second-gen handsets did really well in the Indian market, and the third phone in the series is likely to continue the trend. It would be interesting to see how Motorola makes a difference on the present electronic brands.
