After a lot of waiting, Motorola has finally launched its best smartphone- Moto Turbo in the Indian market. The phone was introduced in the US as Droid Turbo, back in October 2014 and it received very good reviews there. It is one of the costliest Moto devices we’ve seen till date but its specs are also top notch.
Starting with the screen, the device has a 5.2 inch 2560 x 1440 (QHD) display with ppi going up to 565, which is one of the highest resolution screens in any smartphone. The screen is of AMOLED variety and is covered by Gorilla Glass 3 for better protection.
From the inside, the Motorola Moto Turbo comes loaded with a 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor that is complemented by 600 MHz Adreno 420 GPU. Multitasking in the device is handled by 3 GB of RAM and the internal memory goes up to 64 GB with no option of expandability.
On the camera front, the device has a 21 MP rear camera that has an aperture of f/2.0 and dual LED flash. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos too. The phone has a 2 MP front-facing camera for selfies. Being a Motorola device, the device runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The version of the smartphone launched in India comes with 4G connectivity pre-loaded. The Moto turbo is water resistant and can bear some water splashes. It has a 3900 mAh battery built-in that is sure to give a great backup for the whole day usage. The smartphone will be available only in one color- black with Ballistic Nylon back.
Similar to previous Motorola devices, this one will also be available exclusively on Flipkart at a price of Rs. 41999. Though the price seems too high when compared to other Motorola devices and seeing Motorola’s history. But the specs thrown in here justify the price. As always, Flipkart is offering several launch offers that include instant 10% discount on making payment using American Express Card. Flipkart is also offering 100% cash-back as store credit for 25 lucky buyers. It is worthy to note that these offers are valid only for today i.e. March 9th 2015.
