Samsung India has launched its highly anticipated smartphone Galaxy Note 8 in India at an event in New Delhi. A recent report says the company has already got 72,000 Galaxy Note 8 pre-bookings, and registrations have reached over 2.5 lakh in India, which is 1.5 lakh through Amazon, and the rest 1 lakh on the Samsung’s official website. The two big smartphone brands both Samsung and Apple chose this date for their launches due to which Samsung Galaxy Note 8 India launch will clash with the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X India launch, however the iPhone event is planned for the late evening today.

The brand’s latest offering Note 8 is the first smartphone that holds a dual rear camera setup, and the successor to the ill-fated Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It will run over a Snapdragon 835 SoC or a Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC, with the latter variant expected to be made available in India – the Exynos processor has four cores clocked at 2.3GHz and four at 1.7GHz. It is packed with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM for smooth performance.
The new member in the Samsung Note family has a dual rear camera setup holding dual OIS, with one 12-megapixel sensor sporting a wide-angle lens, Dual Pixel AF, and an f/1.7 aperture, while the other 12-megapixel sensor has a telephoto lens with autofocus and an f/2.4 aperture. The setup is accomplished with depth of field effects like Bokeh, apart from 2X optical zoom. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor with autofocus and an f/1.7 aperture. Storage variants include 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. The powerful device is powered by a 3300mAh battery with wireless charging.
