South Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung, which has been facing tough competition in the mobile phone market in India is planning to introduce the Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Note 4. Both of these devices are premium range smartphones that will be directly competing with the recently unveiled Apple’s new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
Samsung is currently busy planning the distribution of these new smartphones just ahead of the festive season. And why not, as the Apple devices are arriving in India in October somewhere near Diwali.
Unlike earlier Samsung premium range smartphones, these new devices are coming in all new avatar that is in complete metallic finish, which gives them the actual premium look and feel. Both of them are expected to be a little more than Rs 40,000. Offering a lot of excellent features the Galaxy Alpha is likely to be cheaper than the upcoming iPhone 6.
Samsung revealed the Galaxy Alpha at IFA, the consumer electronics show in Berlin earlier this month. It has a partial metal casing, a 4.7-inch screen and a powerful processor. This is the company’s best offering in the premium smartphone segment against the iPhone 6.
Apart from that, the brand is also about to launch latest phablet, Galaxy Note 4 featuring a 5.7-inch screen. Whereas, Samsung has had big screen smartphones or phablets for quite a long time, the iPhone 6 Plus will be Apple’s first smartphone with a such big screen.
