Following the launch of Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 Premium at the IFA 2015 trade show event, the Japanese technology conglomerate is intended to launch another high-end smartphone in coming months.
According to a new report, the Japanese company is working on the Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra which will sport 4K display, similar to the Premium handset.
The tech blog PricePony states that Sony plans to introduce an Ultra variant of its latest smartphone Xperia Z5 Flagship, just like the Sony Xperia Z2 Ultra. Sony has been maintaining a trend of “Ultra” variant for some of its flagship handsets. The blog report divulges a few tech specifications of the device.
Reportedly, the Xperia Z5 Ultra will boast a 6.44-inch display with a resolution of 2160×3840 pixels. And the device to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM. While in terms of camera, the device will sport a 23MP rear camera and the handset to be backed by a 4000mAh battery.
The report added that Sony Xperia Z2 Ultra has similar specifications of its Premium variant. And the report noted that the device to be launched in March 2016, followed by the next Mobile World Congress trade show.
It is also rumoured that Sony could drop its plan by then and, if the company releases the handset, it would join the league of Snapdragon 820 chipset smartphone.
