Tata Photon Walky Wi-Fi wireless landline has been launched in India with attractive tariff plans. The new wireless device from Tata Docomo will be available for a price of Rs. 3,850 with monthly plans starting from Rs. 399 for 3GB data to Rs. 899 for 8GB of data for postpaid users.
Along with this, the company also claims that the new Photon device can also be used as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot capable of connecting up to 5 devices. It supports voice calling, and has been specifically designed for the new age internet generation!
The device supports download speed up to 3.2Mbps, and offers a nice set of features to cater diverse user needs. At the launch, the head of marketing, Gurinder Singh Sandhu said that, Tata Photon Walky is a unique device which will allows wireless landline users to surf the internet by creating a simultaneous Wi-Fi hotspot. He also added that increasing number of smartphone and tablet users has shifted the way of Internet access significantly. Tata Photon Walky has been especially designed to cater the needs of multiple users including smartphone users at home or outside home.
Last year, Tata Docomo launched Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo Dongle for a price of Rs. 2,899. The device featured a 4400mAh battery, and functioned as a power bank for charging electronic devices too. It also featured a microSD card slot, and allowed internet access for maximum 5 devices.
