According to a report, the next flagship of Xiaomi Mi 5 will be launched in November. The device is said to feature built-in fingerprint scanner along with purported complete specifications. The report even suggests that in October or November this year Mi 5 might be launched.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 to be codenamed as Libra that includes fingerprint scanner technology, although no other details about the fingerprint scanner are revealed. The previous report suggests that the Chinese company has filed a patent and detailed report fingerprint recognition method through the button of the handset.
The smartphone includes a 5.3-inch display with a 1440×2560 pixels resolution that offers
a pixel density of 554ppi and it is powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset that is yet to revealed by Qualcomm.
The other detailed leaked were the Mi smartphone to have 4GB of RM along with 16GB and 64GB expandable storage support. The handset bears a 16MP rear camera and 6MP front camera while, the device is backed by a 3030mAh battery. The handset runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with MIUI version.
However, the preliminary suggested different set of specifications for Mi 5 that includes a 5.5-inch display and 8MP front camera along with a 3000mAh battery. And several other reports suggests a July launch time-frame for the handset.
Xiaomi announced on Tuesday that it has started the production of the devices in Brazil and is available for sale locally. The company believes the dramatic price cut on the products is the prime step beyond Asia for the world’s most valuable technology startup. Xiaomi announced that Redmi 2 smartphone will go on sale in Brazil next week for 499 reais (roughly Rs. 10,000).
