Lei Jun, Ceo of Xiaomi has divulged the launch date of Redmi Note 2 smartphone on Monday. He confirmed via a post on Weibo that the launch of the upcoming smartphone to be later this month. Along with the post Jun has also shared the screenshot of the home screen form the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.
China certified the Redmi Note 2 followed by the official confirmation tipping new details on the innards. The leaked roadmap suggested that the Redmi Note to be launched by June-end and is expected that the Chinese company may roll-out the sale of the Redmi Note 2 in July. The report also suggests that along with Redmi Note 2, Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro will be launched.
The specifications of the phone going on around that Redmi Note 2 include a 5.5 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display and runs on Android 5.0 or 5.1 with MIUI on top. The handset sports a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera and packed with 3000mAh battery. The device includes TD-LTE network connectivity and hinted that there might be one Redmi Note variant this time.
Unlike this time, earlier, Xiaomi launched two variant of the Redmi Note: a 3G variant and 4G variant. It is worth noting that according to the earlier report the Redmi Note 2 will be powered by a snapdragon 410 (MSM8919) processor.
Recently, Xiaomi spokesperson claims that the company to have sold 10 million Mi 4 smartphones worldwide and the Mi Band fitness trackers have surpassed 6 million shipments.
